Increasing Dangers with Antibiotics Use
With the increasing availability of antibiotics through online pharmacies that sell them to anyone without prescriptions from the countries where the drugs are sold over-the-counter, as well as increasing number of prescriptions for antibiotics given by American doctors, the drugs became widely overused and misused. Moreover, the meat we consume daily is also stuffed with antibiotics as animals receive as much antibiotics if not more than people in the country.
The naturopath Ann Boroch, explains why it is so important to avoid antibiotics use as much as possible. She warns people not to misuse the drugs and doctors not to prescribe the drugs when the disease can be treated in other ways to prevent antibiotics resistance. Boroch says that today cases when people die in the hospitals due to post-surgery complications developed because of the antibiotics resistance are not exceptional. She agrees that antibiotics are important and crucial for saving people’s lives but people nowadays try to use them for the treatment of everything not realizing the consequences.
The naturopath says that it is quite common for people to use antibacterial drugs when antifungal or antiviral treatment is in fact needed. Obviously, to neutralize such conditions other medications and agents are needed. She claims that for viral and fungal infections such products as argan oil, garlic, probiotics, and others can be much more effective and safe. Abstaining from sugar in fungal infections is also a good practice according to the naturopath as refined sugar feeds the infection.
Ann Boroch thinks that people need to become more educated to better understand the difference between the bacterial infections and other infections in order to use the right agents to treat them. For example, you can surely consider taking antibiotics if you have staphylococcus, streptococcus, and other diagnosed bacterial infection but do not buy them if you have a cold or flu.
Sometimes people with the sore throat come to doctors and beg for antibiotics without realizing that the inflammation can be caused by other pathogens. When doctors refuse to give the prescriptions people still want antibiotics because that’s what they know. Then, they are looking for ways to buy the medication without a prescription. But people need to get educated to know that there are many ways to get their bodies back in the balance without medicines.
