Happiness coaching: what is it and what are its goals?
These are the characteristics of happiness coaching, and the objectives on which it is based.
Happiness coaching is the specific training to teach people to be happy by acquiring a repertoire of responses, based on techniques and strategies, aimed at the goal of happiness. It is the acquisition of a repertoire of answers, based on techniques and strategies, aimed at the indispensable goal of knowing how to manage and increase the levels of well-being, satisfaction and happiness over the years in our lives, above all other issues.
It is usually done simultaneously with psychotherapy, although in cases where there is practically no psychopathology (i.e. there is no discomfort, no signs or symptoms that indicate that there are psychological problems) only the issue of happiness is worked on.
When people come to us for help, almost from the beginning we must, in addition to mitigating their symptoms and forms of discomfort, teach them how to work to be happy, to know what things are important in happiness and in what proportions, in order to achieve a good average level of personal happiness.
What is happiness from a coaching point of view?
Happiness is based on the idea that that the reinforcements (pleasant experiences) are greater than the punishmentsThis means that what we do is more rewarding than punishing, both in our performance and in our information processing.
That is, that what we do leads us to have more income than expenses in the medium and long term due to our responses, but also that we perceive it in our brain, because otherwise it is as if it did not exist (a fact that usually happens).
What are the basics of happiness training?
These are the main steps and requirements to apply the coaching applied to the achievement of happiness.
1. Knowing where we are and what we want
The key is to have objective and true data about happiness. Normally, many of the contents that we have about happiness are erroneous, so when we use them believing that they are true, they are not true. when we use them believing them to be true and we do not feel happy, we fall down and fall prey to frustration. and we fall prey to frustration because we do not know what it is that does not work; it is simply that the data are wrong, and obviously the results cannot be good, since we are going against the correct knowledge.
In this sense, it is important to use all our intelligence as accurately as possible, using Real Applied Intelligence to maximize it, always guided by what has to be the main goal in our hierarchy of vital priorities..
Intelligence is the ability to discern between principal and accessory, and due to the viruses that disturb our intelligence, produced by our genetic, cultural and pathological programs, it is very difficult for us to get it right, staying too often with the secondary, losing the primary, so that generally the external results and interpretations are usually bad, not creating good and new possibilities for happiness.
2. Stability
We must also achieve the highest quota in happiness on average in our lives in a stable way, without looking at any other consideration or excuse not to prioritize it, because otherwise, we will always have something to not feel good and be unhappy.
3. Use good attribution strategies
On the other hand, it is basic to to examine the attribution of the causes of what happens to us.in all areas, both positive and negative. That is to say, to be able to really know what causes the different situations we live.
Thus, if we misinterpret what happens in us and around us, it is impossible to obtain knowledge to generate valid conclusions and make accurate modifications, and we will not create useful rules that serve us.
Always keep in mind the need to promote with motivation and persistence the use of Intelligent Responses (RRII)always looking at the medium and long term, because if we do not make this calculation with our important behaviors both in thought and action, it will be really impossible for us to be happy.
4. Apply Global Intelligence (GI)
This consists of using our real intelligence in all areas of our life; work, relationships, hobbies, rest... without leaving any of them behind, since we have to get a passing score in all of them, just as it happens with physical matters: even if we have very good sugar levels, if we have high cholesterol levels we will not be in good health.
5. Encourage the observation and care of our Intelligent Vital Consumption (IVC).
In this way, we will tend to consider how we are spending our time during the days, weeks, months and years. Time goes by without us realizing it, and we often forget that it is limited, that it is not going to return what we have spent.that what we have spent will not be returned. For this reason, we should question ourselves to learn how to do it as best we can and as soon as possible.
