The 6 warning signs of spring asthenia
All the keys to detect as soon as possible this health alteration associated with spring.
What happens in the human mind is always related to what is going on around us, whether we are aware of it or not. In fact, the activation patterns of our brain are always changing depending on the stimuli that reach us from the environment, and this activity does not stop even when we sleep.
However, sometimes the influence that the environment we are in has on us reaches pathological extremes. This is what happens with spring asthenia, a curious phenomenon related to the change of season and that, as its name suggests, appears especially at the beginning of spring.
In this article you will find the keys to find out if this alteration affects you or is affecting someone you know; we will see the main warning signs of spring asthenia.with the characteristics of this type of problem.
What is spring asthenia?
The asthenia is an alteration of the health that affects both the psychological scope and the physiological one, and that is characterized mainly by the appearance of fatigue.. However, unlike the type of fatigue that we normally experience, in asthenia this feeling of tiredness and inability to perform intense or moderate efforts appears without having had to tense the muscles. In other words, it is an unjustified fatigue that persists for long periods: it does not disappear in a matter of a couple of minutes.
On the other hand, asthenia can be of different types. For example, in some cases what is known as chronic fatigue syndrome or general asthenia develops, which lasts for a long time, maintaining consistency in the intensity of its symptoms. And in others it appears only in certain contexts that trigger its onset in a rather cyclical manner. This is the case of spring asthenia, whose symptoms appear mainly in the first two or three weeks of spring.
On the other hand, the exact causes of spring asthenia are not yet well known, and much research remains to be done. However, the most widely accepted theory attributes this phenomenon to the hormonal changes that most people go through as they move from one season to the next. In any case, fortunately, the fact that the causes of this disorder are not known in detail does not mean that it is not possible to take measures to cushion its impact on people's quality of life.
Warning signs to detect spring asthenia
These are the main signs that indicate that someone has developed spring asthenia.
1. Constant fatigue
As we have seen, fatigue is the main warning sign that betrays the presence of asthenia (spring or otherwise). This is often seen even in the posture that the person adoptsThis is often seen even in the posture of the person, who tends to slouch more than usual.
2. lowered mood.
In many respects, what is felt with spring asthenia corresponds to the experiences of those who have developed depression.. However, in this case the most characteristic feature is the impossibility of physical exertion.
3. Irritability
Given the lack of energy, it is much easier for the person to become irritable, experiencing anger or frustration when in addition to the discomfort felt by the spring asthenia has to endure other setbacks.
4. Insomnia
Although the person feels exhausted during most of the day, it is very common that also passes by problems when it comes to having a quality and uninterrupted sleep.. Of course, this does not help to regain strength.
5. Decreased sexual desire
Another of the consequences of spring asthenia is the lack of interest in sex, something that does not necessarily have to be experienced as a problem by the person.
6. General lack of motivation
The lack of energy is not only physical; there is also a tendency to show little psychological activity. This leads the person with spring asthenia to adopt a more passive attitude than usual, and to embrace more sedentary habits.
